Wrong-Way Driver Hits Ambulance Head-On, Bucks Fire Officials Say

A wrong-way driver struck an ambulance head-on over the weekend in Bucks County, fire officials said.

The rig was returning to the station when it was struck by a dark colored Chevrolet SUV on New Falls Road between Apple Tree and Red Cedar drives in Bristol Township around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, Levittown Station 13 said on Instagram.

No patients were on board at the time of the crash.

Both vehicles were severely damaged and EMS workers suffered minor injuries.

The crash was being investigated by Bristol Township police.
